Strangely I get that a lot , course I always was a little faster than ol Nevada Bob.

Right, at any rate Paul's wonderful little glide-dos server app cleverly added that nifty / terrible /glorious feature that allows one to capture and replace textures for Tomb Raider . HFCIT eh? So I slotted it up, pulled the plunger back ... momentarily fascinated by the fluidity of creation ,the visionary taste of blood plasmas swirling sublimination against linchpins of 8-bit concentrations, quiescence glinting shimmers of multi-million colored clarity somewhen just beyond my fingertips somewhere just behind my eyes...and I gave it a go . I mean I can stop any time I want to, right? RIGHT?

Wrong , wrong , wrong.

About me,well I have no training or experience at texture making or art of any kind, but not being the kind of fellow whom is overly daunted by a massive lack of experience , skill , talent , ability ,or even possibly intellect I thought it might be kind of cool to re-texture Tomb Raider . The idea being to make the textures as detailed as I was able while still retaining as much of the original feel as possible .

But, what started out as ( I thought)a kind of exercise in cutting and pasting quickly turned into the torturous process of trying to teach myself about art.Art is subtle and texture development (as I am learning)marries it to various chicaneries in psyhchology .I am not subtle, and to make matters worse I am a poor teacher and worse student (also I am fairly certain psychology is in reality the name of that crust that grows around the top of mustard jars ).

The practical upshot?some of the textures suck some don't suck and some are pretty good actually .The best bit is I do seem to be getting better as time goes on ( after XthreeX (cough) four years of tinkering with this in my spare time one would hope so ).

(p.s. remember pressing 'f4' ingame will flip between regular and new textures )

One pak to bind them ..., this uni-pak has been tailored for maximum compatiblity with All the different (country)versions of TR . Every level has most textures re-done , but..still not entirely complete and only a couple of new textures are in this compendium although it is one big happy allversion pak.Special thanks once again to paul for his extra work on cleaning this up for everyone to use :) . ...

Atlantis
this 'patch' gives you what I got so far for the the atlantis and great pryamid levelsinstall this a after you have already installed silverlok and silverlok2 ( this pak is NOT compatible with the 1silverlokAllver uni pak ).

YOU should probably download the 1silverlokallver file but for the curious....All the new textures were developed using an American version Of TR so, if you have A U.S. version of Tombraider you can use this set of paks ( silverlok, silverlok2, and atlantis ) . It is incomplete ( a vast majority of the textures are done though) and contains the exact same textures as the 1SilverlokAllvers , but there are some minor differences in how and where some few of the textures are displayed ( although you have to be pretty hard core to pick most of them out :) ( this pak is NOT compatible with the 1silverlokAllver uni pak )

Silverlok2
This patch adds about 95% of the textures for NAtlas mines ( the actors and menu items are still not finished )and a couple of updates for the Khamoon levels (p.s. the original file contained a typo the email address is xquest7717@yahoo.com If you sent stuff to the other adress I apologize for the lack of a reply)( this pak is NOT compatible with the 1silverlokAllver uni pak )

This is a version of the pack converted for the GLRage version of Tomb Raider I (a.k.a TombATI). All levels retextured.
